Honey Color Review Part 1

So I'm going to try and tackle this Honey Color review.  I have already tried out the lenses and I'm now able to give my thoughts on them.

I ordered 6 lenses for myself and will break this review into 2 posts.

First off Honey Color was having a 50% off sale.  This is my second time ordering from them and I had absolutely no issues.  The promotion even included a free piggy lens carrying case with tweezers, applicator and small bottle for solution.  Not only that, I was upgraded to express shipping as well.

Suffice it to say this was a hell of a deal.

Circle Lens Haul! Pinky Paradise Order

Okay so I'm a little late on this, but we all know holidays are busy times.

I recently bought a butt-load of lenses.  This time I will focus on Pinky Paradise.  I will have to split my Honey Color order into 2 posts so that it doesn't become ridiculously long.

Fragrance of the Week: BPAL Kitsune Tsuki

So BPAL stands for Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab.

Kitsune Tsuki in this context refers to women who are possessed by fox spirits.  Their conscience remains intact but they are susceptible to the desires that the fox spirit possesses.  They basically turn into seductresses and live a lustful life.

So how to convey that into a fragrance?

Fragrance of the Week: Issey Miyake L'eau D'issey Absolue

I acquired this at the Nordstrom Fragrance Fair that they hold usually twice a year.  I have to say that even with my numerous perfumes, I still am able to find something that catches my interest (and my wallet).

I remember the original light floral of L'eau D'issey and how I wore it all the time.  I actually won the bottle in a raffle at a previous Fragrance Fair and couldn't be happier.  It was light but not androgynous and it made me (and every one of my friends who tried it) feel pretty.

Fragrance of the Week: Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche

We are really getting into the holidays now aren't we?

Thanksgiving is done, the frenzy of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday are past us and the radio station is playing nothing but Christmas songs.

Most people would begin to pull out their heavier fragrances.  The ones with musk and heavy woods.  The ones that are deep and resinous.

But for me, I find the best complement to my winter wardrobe is something that is fresh and in-your-face.  That is, until the temperature really drops around January.  That's when I pull out the big guns.

Cold Weather Essentials

I apologize.  I've been sick and it's been too cold to get me thoughts together.  But that doesn't mean that I don't have a few tips for you now.

When the weather dips into the 30's (cold for me) I rely on these things to get me through the days.

Fragrance of the Week: Angel by Thierry Mugler

Now I am well aware at how polarizing this fragrance is, most coveted fragrances are.

This is the fragrance that began my obsession 20 years ago.  I honestly can't believe how long it has been.

Dry Flaky Skin and Breakouts Part 4: Treatments

This is the final installment and a continuation of Dry Flaky Skin and Breakouts Part 3.

So say your skin is in need of some serious help.  All the lotions and oils still can't give you the soft skin you've been wanting.  Well, this is wear treatments come in.

Dry Flaky Skin and Breakouts Part 3: It's Oil Time

This is a continuation from Dry Flaky Skin and Breakouts Part 2.

This post will focus on oils for the face.  A lot of people have begun to use oil to moisturize and some people are still weary of adding oil to their skin when they suffer from breakouts.

Dry Flaky Skin and Breakouts Part 2: Scrubbing Those Flakes Off

This is a continuation from Dry Flaky Skin and Breakouts Part 1.

So you've gone ahead and treated your breakouts but your skin is still dry and flaky?

This is when an exfoliation is essential.  It helps to keep those pores clean and removes all those piled up skin cells.

Dry Flaky Skin and Breakouts Part 1: My Tell-tale Sign of Winter Skin

So I have a love/hate relationship with Winter.  The older I get, I suppose it becomes more hate than love because I find that there is just more I need to do to myself in the colder months to make myself look presentable.

For me, the onset of Winter usually means that my face becomes dry and flaky.  So much so that my regular exfoliator just won't do the trick anymore.  However, because I'm more bundled up (hats, scarf, hoods, etc.)  I find my face to be much more congested I get breakouts.
