Everywhere I go I see tousled hair. Granted on the weekends I do live near the beach, but even during the week. Everyone has a head of lazy waves.
Now that my hair has grown a bit I can also partake in lazy hair days that are more than just a high ponytail or a messy bun.
If you want this hair as well and don't live near the ocean then your best bets are going to be salt sprays.
I reviewed the Charlotte Ronson A Perfect Mess Beach Hair here and while I liked it a lot for spunking up my short hair at the time, it did also lighten my hair a lot and left my hair sticky a lot of the times.
Right now I'm using Bath and Body Works Beach Waves Hair Mist. I got this during the semi annual sale and unfortunately it isn't available in store. You can find it on Amazon here so you're not totally out of luck. I'm liking this a lot because it comes in different scents, but also because it is much stronger than the Charlotte Ronson one. DO NOT OVERSPRAY your hair (and scalp) will pay dearly for it.
Drybar has a new Mai Tai Spritzer here but at $25 I rather just head to the beach. But it's suppose to give you all the wavy goodness with none of the damage.
Alterna also has one here that is suppose to lock in moisture and color. Since my main gripe about the Charlotte Ronson one was that it lightened my hair, this one is definitely on my radar. But again, a bit pricy at $20 a bottle.
And of course for the incumbant of sea salt hair sprays we have Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray here. This has been around forever and I figure will always be around. It comes in 2 sizes so you can buy the smaller size to try it out or to use in travel. I personally didn't like it all that much. With this one you will also have to remember not to go overboard with it or else your hair will be crunchy.
So in conclusion, if you have the time to spare, I say just go to the beach and bottle some of the ocean water. If not, there are a bunch of great options out there. The trick is finding one that suits you..... who would've thought that texturizing sprays would come in so many varieties?
That's all for me, have a great week and live happy!
