And so it happens again! Happy birthday month to me!
Beginning on September 1st, and for only 4 weeks, Le Labo will make their city exclusive scents available to all of the locations that sell Le Labo and online.
Right now on their sight they have samples available for purchase here so that you can try it out before you commit to a big bottle. It would be a shame to spend over $300 on a bottle that you didn't like right?
A new addition to the crew from last time is Benjoin 19. This is the Moscow exclusive and it's been on my mind ever since I knew of it's existence. For those of us lucky enough to live near a Le Labo or Barneys New York, there will be bottles out during the event to sample and you'll have a whole 4 weeks to mull over whether or not you want to buy a certain fragrance.
Also remember that once you buy a scent to keep the bottle. You can have it refilled at a discount no matter what scent or time of year so long as you have the original bottle. The discount doesn't apply to the purse-sized spray but if you have that bottle you will still be able to refill it once it goes empty.
Also remember that (at least in store) the city exclusive scents are available in other forms such as fragrance oil so if you want to buy it in another form then you can. Just make sure that you try it in the form you wish to purchase. Perfume oil and perfume spray can smell very different given the carrier.
The scent list is as follow:
Gaiac 10 (Tokyo)
Vanille 44 (Paris)
Tubereuse 40 (New York)
Poivre 23 (London)
Musc 25 (Los Angeles)
Limette 37 (San Francisco)
Baie Rose 26 (Chicago)
Cuir 28 (Dubai)
Benjoin 19 (Moscow)
In case you are wondering about how the names are composed, the first word is what the fragrance is based on. The number following the first word, are the number of components that make up the final scent.
Because of this I strongly urge you to try out each scent on your skin. Just because a scent starts out with leather, tuberose or gaiac doesn't mean that the resulting fragrance is going to smell like it. On the contrary, it may smell completely different depending on how the other components react with your skin.
So save your pennies and hopefully you'll find a fragrance to cherish!
That's all for me. I'm finally recovered from the debacle that is Comic-Con and finally feel like myself again.
Have a great weekend everyone and live happy!
