Long Time No Post: Japanese Mints with Andy Warhol Designed Tins

So I'm not dead, just tired and busy.

Today's a quick one today.  So quick there's no need for a jump.

Went to the Japanese supermarket today and found mints in plastic packages that featured Andy Warhol prints on the tins.

Since I am a blindbag/blindbox lover I decided to get one of each flavor and see what this fuss was about.

The flavors are mint, cola and grape.

They are described more as lozenges which makes much more sense once you actually try them.

There's 30 different tins to collect.  And for all you classic Warhol lovers out there, no Campbell's soup!  They do have other classics such as banana and dollar sign though.

As for taste, they are a bit odd.  The mint is very strong with a bit of an herbal note and I think this may be my favorite one of the bunch.  The cola and grape flavors have a tartness to them.  The cola tastes herbal.... really threw me off guard and I wasn't fond of it.  The grape had a minty flavor to it that I didn't find as offensive but still threw me off guard.

Also, they seem to be filled only half way with some plastic taking up the other half.  This isn't the case though, the plastic piece probably takes up a sixth of the container so don't feel like you've been too ripped off.

All in all I don't think I'll be getting anymore of these unless they go on sale.  But I will admit I might be tempted to grab another mint flavor once I finish all of these, if I can stomach finishing the cola flavor.

This is an initial review of the Love Yourself sample bag that was available at Barneys in March.  I take 3 samples and try them for a week (or once if it is a monodose) and let you know what I think of it.

This time I looked at the following: Nars Restorative Night Treatment, Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream and Revive Moisturizing Renewal Cream Supreme.

First off can I say that product names are just getting ridiculously long nowadays.  I understand the need for differentiation but come on!  My fingers are getting arthritic typing these product names.

With so much good stuff coming from these bags why have I never done any reviews?

Simply put I give most of the samples away.  I keep the ones I like and the ones I wouldn't use end up in a box that I either pass around to friends or throw in as random freebies to my auctions.

However with this recent bag I find myself loving most of items in the bag.  So, in an attempt to actually use the contents of my bag of awesome samples, I decided I would try out each skincare item for a week.  For those samples that are mainly monodoses or are too small to last a week I will give my initial impression.

Because honestly what's the point of getting a bag of high end samples if you're just going to let them sit there?  Don't wait for a special occasion to use them.  You never know, your skin might have a horrible reaction to it and you don't want that to happen on a special occasion right? RIGHT!

First off Happy New Year!!!!!!!

So matte liquid lipsticks seem to be all the rage for the new year.  So long glossy stains, it was a fun ride.

So I got these at Walgreens where at the time of this post they were buy one get one half off (Remember when everything was buy one get one free?  Who's the ass that came up with buy one get one half off?).  You also got 3,000 points with a $10 Rimmel purchase.  I honestly still don't get how the Walgreens reward card works though, I just know I need it to get certain discounts so I'm all in.  At $5.29 each regular price they come up to a little less than $4 each after the discount.
